The TMJ team includes the surgical and clinical pain management experience of Dr. Matthew Gramkee. A Board Certified Periodontist, Dr. Gramkee’s background includes seven years practice as a general dentist, completion of a three year residency in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and extensive training from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and the Allergan Medical Institute in the use of “Botox” injections as an adjunct to managing head and neck pain and facial aesthetics.
Dr Gramkee is committed to excellence and patient satisfaction. After graduating dental school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served for over 25 years, retiring at the rank of Captain. His tour highlights include Dental Division Officer on USS Constellation (CV-64) and overseas assignments in Puerto Rico and Spain.
Dr. Gramkee completed his training in Periodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School, where he graduated number one in his class! His leadership positions included Chair of the Navy’s periodontics residency program, Specialty Advisor to the Surgeon General of the Navy and Director for Dental Services at a Naval Hospital where he Dr. Gramkee has lectured extensively on periodontics and implant dentistry as well as presenting research at scientific conferences. He has received recognition for his clinical and mentoring ability including the prestigious Annual Award for both Outstanding Educator and Outstanding Clinical Achievement by the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Gramkee also has the unique distinction of holding the title of odontólogo from the University of Granada, Spain and holds an active dental license in Cadiz, Spain.
